... A balanced life ...

NO NO NO NO NO --- No Good!

I woke up bright and early this morning to neighbors fighting in an ungodly manner at an ungodly noise level.

None of you have every stayed the night with me, but if you knew how I prefer to wake up, that was most definitely as far opposite as it gets.

I had to remind myself that the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Nobody ever has an issue that the enemy is not a part of. Just as God orchestrates the great things in our lives, the enemy plans destruction. The sad thing is, is it stole something I hold very valuable. (REST)

I'm debating on putting in a complaint, seeing as how I heard them till 2am and woke up again because of them a little before 7.

I know there's a child involved... I cannot stand an adult that hasn't enough self-control to speak with respect-- regardless the circumstance. It really upsets me.

Please pray God works a miracle in their family. Nothing about violence is of God. He is love, and that's what our families are supposed to reflect.

"You are my witnesses," declares the Lord, "That I am God. Yes, and from Ancient of Days I am He." -Isaiah 43:12-13 (NIV)

(From my daily devotional-)

When she was in second grade, my daughter Amanda illustrated a truth about the centrality of God. She was telling me something she had prayed over at school that day. I said, "Oh, Amanda, do you know how much it means to Mommy for you to make God part of your day?"

I'll never forget her answer: "You're so silly, Mommy. You know God made the day. I'm just glad He made me part of His."

I was stunned. She expressed through her childlike faith the meaning of God's wonderful name, the "Ancient of Days." -Beth Moore

Incredible, huh?

What an awesome blessing it must be as a mother to hear your child say such a thing.

I am truly thankful God has made me a part of His day.

I'm also grateful that He's made each and everyone that reads my blog a part of mine.

For the 20th day of the month, I encourage you to "Live a balanced life..."

"... they have made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept." -Song of Solomon 1:6

Are there areas of your life that are not "kept" because you are taking care of everyone else? If you're always on the go, constantly working and never taking time for yourself, you will end up stressed out and overwhelmed, and you won't be able to enjoy life the way God intended. Living a balanced life brings peace, joy and health.

The person speaking in Song of Solomon was good at taking care of everyone else-- his family, his friends, his work. He made sure everyone else was happy, but in doing that, he neglected to take care of himself. Are you living like that today? Do you spend all your time on other people, but not any on yourself? Eventually you will burn out. Decide today to begin investing in yourself. Take time to relax and rejuvenate yourself. When you are refreshed emotionally, physically, and spiritually, you are able to give to others more effectively. As you bring balance to your life, you will begin to enjoy every day to the fullest-- just the way God intended! -Joel Osteen

Prayer For Today-

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the wisdom to make right choices and bring balance in my life. I make decisions to put You first in all that I do. I purpose to take time to invest in myself so that I may be more effective in sharing and giving to others. In Jesus' name... AMEN!

Blessings, my friends!!!

I totally know exactly where your coming from on the waking up to the fighting of other people. i went through the exact situation last summer when i first moved in.

I decided that i was going to file a complaint and if it happend again i would call the police. I figured it this way i have the right to feel safe in my home and i have the right to beable to rest comfortablly in my own bed without being dusturbed.

So file Kaci you might be surprised what happens for after i filed my complaint the yelling and Everything stoped, i also prayed as well and i countinue to pray for the ones above my suite because i know they are not of God. anyways i don't want to make this to long and i gotta run i have a lunch date. so i will chat with you later i hope.

Be Blessed Stay Focused!
Luv YA!

Wow. first of all, my aunt used to fight with her boyfriend ALL THE TIME- I was the child point of veiw in that situation. Granted, this was a few years ago, and they've since broken up- but her boyfriend was an absolute MONSTER to me. I didn't want to talk, look, or be around him. -- He also was an alcoholic.

& that story about the second grader was amazing. Truly inspiring that someone so young can have such faith and trust in God.

I experianced a similiar situation yesterday at the mall when I was in the bathroom at JC Pennys. I was leaving the bathroom when I heard a mother smack her child 3 times in the stall! It made me sick. :( All I could do was pray for the child...

Kaci, it thrills me that you read Joel Osteens Inspirational messages, those definitely get me through the day...He is awesome! :) Bless your heart, thanks for sharing this...and I will be prayin for that family...

Hey, I was fan of your music a couple of years ago. Then i dont know why but i sort of moved on. And know, out of the blue, I found your blog.

I'm glad to see that you're alright, even when Ive never really met you (lol). But I guess it makes me happy when people are happy. As simple as that. It's good to know you're such a faithful person now. Personally, I think God is all the strenght we need.

So ... keep going!!. I'm sure your next album is going to be amazing :) you're really talented! and anyone can see that you have a really big golden heart!

God Bless.
